About Simple Discipleship Color Themes

The original SD logo is built on key Bible passages and around the Christian cross. The red field represents the first Great Commandment of Christ to love God. The red color also symbolizes Christ's sacrifice and our passion for him. The label is WORSHIP or Know Christ.

The blue field represents the second Great Commandment of Christ to love people. The blue color also symbolizes a disciple's commitment to Christ through baptism. The label is WORD or Grow in Christ.

The yellow field represents the active care Christ-followers give to others within the church through using their spiritual gifts. It is based on Ephesians 4:11-12 and other passages and the yellow color also symbolizes the believer's experience of moving "out of darkness and into Christ's marvelous light. The label is MINISTRY or Serve Christ.

The green field represents the active care of Christ-followers give to people outside the Christian faith. It is based on the Great Commission of Christ (Prime Directive for Trekies, lol) to make disciples. The green color also symbolizes the disciple's growth in Christ and eternal life. The label is MISSIONS or Share Christ.

These four themes may be seen throughout the Bible and is a part of the basis of the SD Quiet-Time Starters.
